Copper Nickel Pipe and Fittings

 

• Copper Nickel is the preferred material for seawater piping systems. It is highly resistant to general corrosion and fouling by marine organisms.
  
  
• Bale Defence Industries stock a large range of Copper Nickel pipe and fittings to MIL and DIN specifications. Our Copper Nickel products conform to MIL-T-16420K, DIN 85004 and DIN 86019, BS 2871 (pt 2) and EEMUA Pub No.144. Material certification is available on all stock.
  
  
• Imperial size pipe (MIL spec) ranges from 1/4" nb, and is generally employed with heavy wall cast bronze fittings attached with silver braze. A range of bronze flanges are also available, and "specials" can be manufactured in house.
  
  
• Metric systems (DIN spec) 10mm nb to 200mm nb, generally use copper nickel buttweld fittings, TIG welded using Monel or Copper Nickel filler rods. Capillary fittings are available on request. For economy, flange systems are typically Copper Nickel stub ends with galvanised carbon steel on outer flanges.
