Bale Defence Industries is a privately owned company dedicated to the support of Australian and New Zealand Defence Forces with the design, manufacture and through life support of military equipment and Defence related products. The Company also serves as a supply chain integrator, locating and supplying a comprehensive range of vital spares and equipment.

 History

Bale Engineering, the parent company, was established in Port Macquarie, New South Wales, Australia in 1979. Continued growth and expansion over the years sees the Company now employing a highly trained and skilled workforce of 32 people, delivering a range of products and services to Defence Facilities and associated industries throughout Australia and the South Pacific.

Capabilities

With a strong commitment to research and development, in house design and Finite Element Analysis, the Bale Defence Industries design team can deliver innovative, custom designed solutions to any engineering or manufacturing problem. The latest CNC machine tools and fabrication facilities are available at our two large workshops. We have a dedicated clean room and an extensive NAVSEA library, all located on the premises for close monitoring of products, quality and workmanship.

With over twenty five years experience in the manufacture and supply of Defence related equipment we are acutely cognisant of Defence Department requirements. Our expertise and dedication to schedule and budget ensures the highest level of customer service. Our commitment to quality ensures complete customer satisfaction.

Bale Defence Industries have a diverse range of products and services. A brief cross-section includes Special forces and counter terrorist equipment, weapon storage systems, weapon mounts, weapon repair, oily water separators, copper nickel pipe and fittings, ship furnishings, marine watertight doors and hatches, high and low pressure valves, dehydrator refurbishment, propeller supply and repair, system definitions and layout, naval architecture, OH & S equipment, all backed up with strong logistical support.

Bale Defence are regional suppliers for a number of overseas companies including; Staples and Pfeiffer sea water strainers, Nexans cable, Eucaro copper nickel pipe and fittings, Le Bronze Copper nickel pipe and fittings, Flagg Flow fittings and flanges, Straub pipe couplings, and Fielden Dryers. With our extensive network of overseas contacts we are ideally situated to supply a wide range of Defence related parts and products.
